The postcard dated 1914 to the right looks north on Broadway from First Avenue. The viewer is standing in the middle of the intersection of Broadway and First Avenue North. On the left (west side) we can see Holmes Clothiers and the Bijou Theater next door. The Bijou (opened in 1906 at 106 Broadway) was the first theater in Fargo to combine vaudeville with moving pictures. The Bijou later became the Garrick Theater.
On the right (or east side of the street), we can see the the Scott-Hall Shoe Store.
The undated postcard on the lower right shows the west side of Broadway looking north from First Avenue. Again, we can see Holmes Clothiers (which later became the Globe Clothing Store) and the Bijou theater. The far end of the block became the Black Building in 1930.
The undated postcard below shows the east side of Broadway looking north from First Avenue.
