The Jack Frost Winter Carnival was held in the heart of winter for several years in the 1940's-1950's. I don't know the first or last years it was held.

Each year there were activities for both adults and children including parades, balls, skating. I believe the carnival was sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce to promote Fargo and encourage visitors to the city
