LINKS:
It
is not my intention to have a long list of links here. I will try to include
relevant links on each page. There are a few good Fargo history links that
I recommend:
NDSU
Archives Buildings Page -- A very comprehensive and thorough approach
to NDSU history.
Central
High School Alumni Association -- Their site is being revamped and is hoped to be available again by the end of 2004.
Bonanzaville
-- If you are in the Fargo area, visit Bonanzaville, a 12-acre village
of museums with original historic structures from the North Dakota Prairie.
James
Lileks -- A personal "then and now" approach to Fargo.
Although
not Fargo, I recommend the Clay
County Historical Society's web site.
One of the very
best sources is the
North Dakota Institute for Regional Studies. Great people, great place,
great information.
Other
sources well worth contacting are the State
Historical Society of North Dakota and the Fargo/Moorhead Heritage
Society. The latter does not have a web site but can be reached at P.O.
Box 3161, Fargo, ND 58107-3161. Please support these organizations; they
deserve your help.
If
you know of others, please let me know.
If
you would like to read about Fargo, check the reading
list.
