Seventh Street South begins at the NP Railroad Depot. It extends southward through only one block before becoming the western edge of Island Park. Its western side has been home to a number of businesses and residences. South of Eighth Avenue, Seventh Street is a residential area.

The image below is from a real photo postcard dated 1912. It look north along Seventh Street South from approximately First Avenue South. In the center, is the NP Depot on Front Street [Main Avenue]. On the east side of the street is deLendrecies and Doyle's Livery. Note that the picture was taken before deLendrecies additional floors to the building in 1904.

On the west side of the street is the Waldorf Hotel, the Prescott Hotel, and Colonial Flats.

The lower (color) photograph shops the same area almost 100 years later (in 2001). The NP Depot and the deLendrcie buildings are still there.
