Hector
Henry
Hector came to Fargo in 1878 and started a grocery business. He was burned
out in 1882 but did escape the great fire of 1893. He became a member of
the Continental Hose Company
in 1888 and served as President of the company in that year. Hector was
a member of the city council, representing the Second Ward. Hector lived
in the first house built in Fargo.
In 1931, Hector's brother, Martin, donated the land for Hector
Airport.
