What would your hard-earned money buy in 1910? The following samples were taken from advertisements in 1910 issues of the Fargo Forum.

HOUSING

A typical 6-7 room house sold for $2-3,000.

A six room cottage in Island Park was selling for $1950

A two-story house with 8 rooms and bath on North Broadway between 9th & 10th Avenues was selling for $6500.

TRANSPORTATION

Frank Lynch at 17-19 Broadway was selling the new light Ford for $950

An Indian motorcycle was selling for $200.

The new 1911 Torpedo automobile (remember them, right?) had two models: the National for $2800 and the White Torpedo for $2250.

CLOTHING

Moody's was selling "New Fall Dry Goods" at $1.00 per yard

deLendrecies was selling skirts for $13.50-20.00; women's suits for $37.50-85.00; and dresses for $25-35.

Ted Evanson at 409 NP Avenue was selling new men's suits and overcoats for $25 and up

LITTLE LUXURIES

Coca-Cola was selling for "5¢ everywhere"

A Robert Burns cigar was 10¢

Fargo Drug was selling Brownie cameras for $1-12 and Kodak cameras for $5-109
