The Troy Steam Laundry was located at 625 NP Avenue. It was built after the fire of 1893. I don't know its fate.

The illustration right is taken from the June 7, 1894 edition of the Argus; scan courtesy of the North Dakota Institute for Regional Studies.

According to the 1901 Fire Festival Souvenir Booklet, Mr. Arthur Bassett was the proprietor and "this 'old reliable' establishment is thoroughly equipped with the most approved laundering machinery, wash, drying, and ironing rooms, and the facilities are the best for turning out the finest class of work, where special care is used in every branch of the business. Work is done here without the use of chemicals that rot and destroy goods of fine texture, and the wear and tear of clothes is thereby obviated. A specialty is made of collars, cuffs, shirts, and fine family work, and quick service is rendered. Mr. Bassett has reduced the laundry business to a scientific basis in his establishment, using special machinery, he secures that nicety and exactness in every detail, which has won for him the reputation of doing work unsurpassable elsewhere."

Judging by the horse and carriage in front of the building, Mr. Bassett delivered as well.
