The Pantorium
The Pantorium was a laundry and dry cleaners at 621 NP Avenue. The advertisement to the right is from a 1906 Fargo Souvenir Book. Besides the unusual name, note the horse-drawn sleigh for making deliveries in the winter.
In the early 1920's, Florence Klingensmith, an early Clay County pilot worked as a delivery person for the firm.
The 1923 telephone book lists the Pantorium at 119 Roberts Street and the 1924 telephone books lists the Pantorium at 217 Broadway. By 1935, Pantorium Cleaners was located at 675 Second Avenue North where they remained until at least 1964. By 1977, the Pantorium seems to have vanished.
