This real photograph postcard from 1909 shows the north side of NP Avenue from 5th Street looking west to Roberts Street. On the right (the northwest corner of 5th Street and NP Avenue) we see the Webster Hotel (at 503 NP Avenue), an unknown building, the Metropole Hotel with its twin spires, and the Merchants National Bank. Continuing west across Broadway, we see the Fargo National Bank, several unknown buildings and City Hall with its bell tower clearly visible. In the sky above we can see the many wires powering the Street Railway, with one streetcar approaching.
