The Deering Company provided farm implements and was located at 502 NP Avenue. This site was later to become the location of the Greyhound Bus Depot.

In 1902, the McCormick Harvesting Machine Company and the Deering Harvester Company (two competitors nearly equal in sales) merged to form the International Harvester Company.
