The Cantieny Hotel was located on the corner of NP Avenue and Fifth Street. The illustration is from the 1883 Fargo City Directory. The hotel advertised "basic accommodations" at $1.00 to $1.50 per day.

The hotel was not listed in the 1895/6 directory. I presume it burned down in the fire of 1893 and was not rebuilt.
