Fargo, North Dakota
Veterans' Hospital
The Veterans Administration purchased 50 acres in 1926 adjacent to the Red River north of Fargo. The new 59-bed hospital opened in June 1929 with Dr. Nils Tronnes as first chief surgeon. The original hospital is pictured in the postcard above right.
The two photographs were taken June 30 1929 and likely depict the ceemonies associated with the opening of the hospital. The photographs were provided by Brad Graber. Thank you!
