One of Fargo's many spring floods occurred in 1881. This was the first flood (of which I am aware) that was photographed.

The upper two images are one-half of stereoviews by Flaten & Skrivseth, "Official Photographers of the St. Paul, Minneapolis and Manitoba R.R [precursor to the Great Northern Railroad]. I am not sure of the location of either image. The bottom image is a stereoview by Haynes.
