The picture to the right is the "Talking Machine Parlor." It was in the basement of the Stone building. On the left are stairs leading to the ground floor. This area was were Daveau's sold records in the 1950's and 60's.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The center picture is the "piano showroom." I am told that this is actually the auditorium shown below. Pianos were hoisted up in a freight elevator, carpet runners laid down, tables and chairs added, and a piano sale was born.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The bottom picture shows the auditorium on the second floor. Can't you imagine attending recitals in this wonderful room?
