Kopelman
Building. Built ca. 1906, it is one the oldest surviving buildings
on First Avenue.
Masonic
Lodge. On June 7, 1899 the corner stone was laid for the great
Masonic temple at 501 First Avenue North. It is now a parking lot.
Federal
Building and Post Office. Built in the 1890s, the Federal Building
stood on the northwest corner of First Avenue and Roberts Street.
Gardner
Hotel. Built in 1909, the Gardner Hotel stood on the southwest
corner of First Avenue and Roberts Street.
First
Presbyterian Church. From 1877 until 1930, the First Presbyterian
Church stood at the corner of First Avenue and Seventh Street.
YMCA.
Built in 1905, the YMCA stood on the southeast corner of First Avenue
and Roberts Street until a new YMCA was built in 1961. It is now a
parking lot.
