This enlargement of photograph postcard is looking west on First Avenue from southwest of First Avenue and 3rd Street North. I am guessing that the photographer was standing on the water tower behind the Case Thresher building on NP Avenue. The large structure in the foreground was likely a warehouse for one of the firms along "Machinery Row" on NP venue. One can see a number of farm machines outside the warehouse. The scene appears to be taken after a light snow.

Most of the buildings are not recognizable (by me). Many are small businesses and homes. In the upper left, the Masonic Temple is clearly visible.

This image was taken by the same photographer as the panoramic photograph seen here. They were probably both taken th esame day from the same vantage point.
