The image on the right is one-half of a stereoview photograph. It is a picture of the Union Elevator. It was built around 1879-1880 at the southeast corner of First Avenue North and and Second Street. It had a railroad siding and was on the bank of the Red River. This it could easily accommodate train and barge transportation easily. I believe the elevator was built by G.S. Barnes and Major L.H. Tenney.
