West Side

The image to the left (an enlargement of the panorama on the home page) shows the west side of Broadway between NP Avenue and the NP railroad tracks. On the far (right side) of the image is the Edwards Building with Alex Stern Clothiers on the corner and Woolworths to its south. There is another unknown occupant to the left of Woolworths.

Continuing south (left), we see Herbst's store, Luger Furniture, the Christianson Drug Co., and two more unknown stores.

East Side

The image to the left shows the east side of Broadway between NP Avenue and the NP railroad tracks--directly across the street from the image above.

The building to the far right is the Red River Valley National Bank. The bank was founded in 1881. The president of the bank (in 1899) was J.W. VonNedia. The bank became part of the First National Bank in 1906.

Moving north, I do not know the occupants of the next two buildings. Note the golden stag on top of the center building. At the far right, across NP Avenue, is Merchants National Bank.

Other images of Broadway looking south can be found here.
