The Metropole Hotel was located just east of Broadway at 511 NP Avenue. It was owned and operated by E.E. Cole, who built the hotel in 1894. Cole also owned the Cole Hotel.

The Metropole was a very popular meeting place, especially for ladies for whom the hotel had special parlors. In 1910, the Metropole advertised rooms for $2.25-3.00 per day.
