The Golden Maid Cafe was located at 68 Broadway. It was first listed in the telephone book in June 1925 as the Golden Maid Shoppe. It was gone by 1951. On February 7, 1940, the Golden Maid caught fire and was never reopened. The picture of the fire below was supplied by Everett Brust, whose father worked at the Golden Maid at the time. The fire also involved Stevenson's Shop, Broadway Pharmacy, Dotty Dunn, Crescent Jewelry, and the Elliott Hotel.
In 1977, the location was occupied by Stevenson's clothing store for women, which was still there in 1984.
